Grace B. Luhrs University Elementary School Enrollment Procedures
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to obtain information about Grace B. Luhrs University Elementary School (GBLUES) to determine whether to apply for choice enrollment.
GBLUES is not a Shippensburg School District assigned school and your student must first be fully registered with the district and complete a GBLUES application to be considered for enrollment.
Requirements to enroll at Grace B. Luhrs
- The student must meet all enrollment requirements for the Shippensburg Area School District by April 30, 2026. This includes age, residency, required forms, and other requirements according to SASD Policies. For more information on K Registration, click here.
Interest Applications should only be submitted after students have been fully registered with the District.

Parents/guardians of students entering kindergarten for 2026-2027 must complete the entire district registration process and submit a Lottery Registration Application by May 1, 2026.

Applications should only be submitted after students have been FULLY REGISTERED with the District and will not be accepted before.

Lottery information
Important Sibling Information:
Kindergarten applicants who are legally identified as a sibling of a current student attending grade K-4 in GBLUES and living at the same residence, will be enrolled first in kindergarten. You "MUST" complete a Lottery Registration Application by May 1, 2026 to have a spot reserved.
STUDENTS WITH SIBLINGS MUST ALSO BE FULLY REGISTERED WITH THE DISTRICT BY MAY 1, 2026 TO HAVE A SPOT RESERVED.
Should more students apply than openings in any grade, there will be a lottery to determine which students get those openings. The rest of the students will be put on a waiting list in the order determined by the drawing in case any spots become available in the future.
